Overview

Varanasi, or Benaras, (also known as Kashi) is one of the oldest living cities in the world. Varanasi`s Prominence in Hindu mythology is virtually unrevealed. Mark Twain, the English author and literature, who was enthralled by the legend and sanctity of Benaras, once wrote : “Benaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together. ”

The land of Varanasi (Kashi) has been the ultimate pilgrimage spot for Hindus for ages. Hindus believe that one who is graced to die on the land of Varanasi would attain salvation and freedom from the cycle of birth and re-birth. Abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati, the origins of Varanasi are yet unknown. Ganges in Varanasi is believed to have the power to wash away the sins of mortals.

Day 1 : Arrival in Varanasi

Morning: Arrive at Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport or Varanasi Junction Railway Station.
Transfer to your hotel in Varanasi and check-in.
Afternoon: Varanasi Exploration
- Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
- Explore the ghats in Varanasi, including Dashashwamedh Ghat, Manikarnika Ghat, and Assi Ghat.
Evening: Ganga Aarti in Varanasi
- Attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Day 2 : Varanasi Exploration

Morning: Check out of your Varanasi hotel and drive to Ayodhya (approximately 6-7 hours by road).
Afternoon: Ayodhya Exploration
- Visit Ram Janmabhoomi, Hanuman Garhi, Kanak Bhawan, and other important temples and sites in Ayodhya.
Evening: Attend the Ganga Aarti at Ayodhya.

Day 3: Ayodhya Day Trip

Morning: Check out of your Varanasi hotel and drive to Ayodhya (approximately 6-7 hours by road).
Afternoon: Ayodhya Exploration

Day 4 : Prayagraj (Allahabad) Day Trip

Morning: Check out of your Ayodhya hotel and drive to Prayagraj (approximately 3-4 hours by road).
Afternoon: Explore the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. Visit Triveni Sangam, Anand Bhavan, and the Allahabad Fort.
